Montserrat National Trust Heritage Radio Show
Radio has always been an important part of Montserratian society. In the most recent census, high levels of radio ownership are reported. To embrace this, and to welcome new audiences to hear about the Trust’s work, through the project, the Montserrat National Trust Heritage Show was restarted.
Reflecting on the use of the MNT Heritage Radio Show, UKOTCF’s Director said: “As soon as we had left the studio, on the way out somewhere else, there was always some one who would stop you, having listened to the show. They would notice you, and more often than not, give some words of encouragement or ask an interesting question. I am not sure this would happen anywhere else other than on Montserrat. Radio allows you to listen in on an informative discussion, with some light hearted stories along the way! This is a very powerful tool for outreach.“
During the project, the Montserrat National Trust re-established its Heritage Radio Show on ZJB Radio.
Some of the show were broadcast live on the Montserrat National Trust’s Facebook page. Other are available on SoundCloud.
Here we list some of the shows relevant to the project and wider work of the Montserrat National Trust.
