Several training opportunities were provided throughout the project. Some were to support Adopters with site management. Others were to support MNT and MAHLE staff, young persons and the general public.
MNT's Botanic Garden
Enhancements in the garden made it possible to provide native plants to the Adopters as well as staff to ensure that the garden supports conservation across the island. Read more

Land Management
The Project Officers were key to providing information on managing the Adopt A Home for Wildlife Sites. They made regular visits to the sites to give advice and support. Read more

Several events took place during the project which were opportunities for the Adopters to get involved in activities. These included some of the citizen-science events, book launches, enterprise workshops. Read more
Community Feedback
Questionnaires were carried out during the project to understand some of the key issues impacting the islands' biodiversity, ecosystem services and natural capital. This proved useful to understand how the project should be framed around community views. Read more
Environmental Education
Providing opportunities for young children to be part of the MNT's work and to learn and experience more about nature is an investment in the future. The re-launch of Monty's Messengers children's club began with a logo competition. Read more
